The South Australian Certificate of Education Board (SACE Board) of South Australia’s primary role is the provision of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) to government, non-government and international schools.
Our purpose is to “shape education so that students thrive” which is achieved through working closely with our stakeholders to inspire, innovate and create the best outcomes for students and their communities so that SACE graduates are capable to construct their own futures to contribute to a sustainable and socially just world.
The IMPACT you will drive at the SACE Board
As Senior Manager, Education Services, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of education in South Australia. Your leadership will directly influence how students are prepared to thrive in an increasingly complex and dynamic world.
Your impact will include:
- Transforming Curriculum and Assessment 
You will lead the strategic development and implementation of curriculum, assessment, and quality assurance initiatives that align with the SACE Board’s vision and legislative obligations—ensuring every student has access to a meaningful and future-focused education.
- Driving Systemic Educational Change 
By managing large-scale change initiatives and guiding Faculty Managers and Education Consultants, you will champion innovation and excellence across the education system.
- Building Strategic Partnerships 
You will cultivate strong relationships with schools, system leaders, industry, and education partners to co-create solutions that enhance student outcomes and foster lifelong learning.
- Leading with Purpose and Influence 
As a key member of the Education Services Leadership Team, you will shape a high-performing, collaborative culture that reflects the values and aspirations of the SACE Board.
- Delivering on Strategic and Legislative Priorities 
You will ensure the successful internal delivery of key initiatives, while engaging the broader system to embed sustainable change that benefits all learners.

- Ability to inspire teams, manage complex change, and build strong stakeholder partnerships will be instrumental in delivering on the SACE Board’s strategic priorities and cultivating a high-performance, purpose-driven culture.
Qualifications
Appropriate tertiary qualification in education or a relevant field such as management and/or training.
Special Conditions
- Some out-of-hours work.
- Intrastate travel to regional and remote locations / interstate travel may be required.
- A current driver’s licence is desirable.
- The incumbent works under the SACE Board of South Australia Act 1983.
- An intense time of activity within the SACE Board of South Australia occurs between October and December. For some roles, the incumbent would not normally be able to take planned leave during this period.
- Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check from the Department of Human Services and in accordance with the SACE Board policy.

Remuneration
MAS3 - $127,859 per annum plus superannuation. A salary package is available for negotiation with the successful candidate.
This is a term vacancy up to three years.
