All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our patients, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.The Department of Gynaecologic Oncology forms part of the Department of Women's and Children's services at the Royal Hobart Hospital. It is one of the few state-wide medical services in Tasmania. The service is based in Hobart but does offer an outreach service in Launceston in the North of the state.The RoleProviding surgery for women with gynaecological cancers, genetic risk of cancer, genital tract dysplasia including colposcopy and complex benign gynaecological conditions such as placenta accreta spectrum.In addition to surgery, the role involves outpatient clinics, regular multidisciplinary team meetings, on-call commitments and outreach clinics, on a regular basis, at the Launceston General Hospital.The position is supported by a full-time nursing Gynaecological Cancer Care Co‐ordinator.The department of Gynaecologic Oncology also has a full-time senior registrar/Fellow that works exclusively in the department.
