The Role
We do not 'book functions', we curate events! We are looking for a Meeting & Events Sales Coordinator who loves working in a fast paced environment, has great customer engagement, can work well within a team and can bring an energetic outlook on the world of events. The role:
- Support the Sales team in all day-to-day business administrative needs
- Assist in the submission of tenders and corporate reports
- Coordinate and manage the 'end to end' coordination of all meeting, residential, incentive, wedding and event contracts.
- Create pre-conference briefs, prepare event orders and effectively communicate all the details to the relevant departments.
- Pro-actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling and recommending solutions.
- Conduct market research to identify new event trends and evaluate customer needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients and associates.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure targeted goals are achieved and/or exceeded by maximising both room and catering revenue.
- Participate in weekly internal meetings with relevant departments, and represent hotel at industry networking events where required.
- Facilitate site inspections and face to face meetings with prospective clients and suppliers.
Talent Profile
Ideally you will have:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within the hospitality, event or travel industry is preferred but not essential.
- Opera Sales and Catering or similar system experience is desired
- Have a pro-active and enthusiastic nature to go after opportunities

- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite - Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication and excellent personal presentation and grooming standards.
