Your impact

Jacobs' Energy and Power business is at the forefront of the energy transition in the Asia-Pacific region. As we experience significant growth and collaborate with diverse clients, we're seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Energy & Power Infrastructure team in Perth.

In this exciting Lead position, you'll be at the cutting edge of the energy transition, delivering critical power engineering consultancy services. You'll work on medium and high voltage design (up to 66kV) in transmission and distribution projects, helping Jacobs meet growing client demands for sustainable energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide expert engineering solutions in traction power, Electric Vehicle transport, renewable generation, High Voltage connections and reticulation, earthing and bonding, EMC, substations, and electrical protection systems.
* Interface with clients and support project delivery across various sectors including resources, industrial/processing, power utilities, renewable power, water/wastewater, rail, and defence.
* Develop and apply expertise in electrical engineering skillsets, including system analysis, connection studies, substation arrangement, reticulation design, secondary systems, and protection applications.
* Contribute to the development of technically sound engineering designs and consultancy services.
* Collaborate with and learn from highly experienced team members while participating in mentoring programs.
* Drive innovation in sustainable energy solutions and support business growth initiatives.

Here's what you'll need

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Significant experience in electrical engineering, particularly in medium and high voltage systems.
* Proven track record in delivering projects in the energy and power sector.
* Strong understanding of Australian standards and regulations related to electrical systems.
* Experience with relevant software tools and simulation packages.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Passion for sustainable energy and commitment to driving the energy transition.
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
