Job Title: Diesel Engine Mechanic Instructor
This position involves teaching, facilitating learning and conducting assessment in traditional, new and innovative ways to a diverse range of clients. The lecturer will be involved in the provision of consultancy, information and promotional services to industry, prospective students and community clients.
The TAFE environment offers comprehensive industry-based training packages and an underpinning quality system that provides a framework for delivery and assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Teaching diesel engine mechanics to students
* Developing and implementing curriculum content
* Assessing student performance
* Providing support and guidance to students
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and standards
Applicants must have a heavy automotive / plant mechanic qualification or equivalent. At least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position is required, with the ability to facilitate and encourage learning.
The successful applicant will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
