Bison Energy Australia Pty Ltd is a subsidiary company of Bison Energy Group, an international large-scale renewable energy project developer and investor with a portfolio of projects across Australia, New Zealand, US, Europe and Japan. Bison Energy Australia Pty Ltd identifies sites, negotiates land arrangements, network connection and arranges all key commercial contracts including construction, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and financing.
About the role
To implement our growth strategy, we are looking for a highly driven, results oriented individual with a minimum 10 years of experience as a general manager to oversee daily business operations. You will possess leadership, delegation ability, problem solving, decision making and management skills.
Key responsibilities
· Oversee daily business operations and management of organisation
· Develop and implementing growth strategies
· Responsible for leading all aspects of solar business
· Plan and enhance company policy, and setting standards for the organisation to fulfil objectives, achieve goals, maximise profit and efficiency
· Train managers and staff, managing the performance of staff
· Prepare proposals, quotations, contracts and presentations for potential investors
· Provide technical information about solar power, solar systems, equipment to potential customer or dealers
· Assess changing situations, respond and solve issue accordingly
· Represent the organisation at official occasions and negotiations with potential investors and suppliers
· Decide on solar energy products, systems, and services for customers based on electrical energy requirements, site conditions, prices and other factors
· Calculate potential solar resources or solar array production for sites considering factors like climate, shading and roof orientation
· Analyse accounting and financial data
· Undertake some responsibility for some sales, marketing and other specialist operations
About you
· Minimum 10 years of experience at a senior leadership level, managing large scale projects in the solar energy industry
· The ability to drive growth in the business with proven track record
· High level planning, implementation, management skills
· Possess great communication, delegation and problem-solving skill
· Experience sourcing and negotiating project financing for solar projects
· Solid knowledge of solar project processes, including network connection and operations contracting
· Strong strategic planning and financial skills
· Ability to motivate and lead people
· Strong decision-making capabilities
· Strong working knowledge of operational procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $180,001 and above
