Salary
* Total Remuneration $114,962 to $123,815 pa (including salary of $97,145 to $104,626 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

The Finance Directorate is responsible for supporting the University's financial sustainability, governance, compliance and strategic decision-making. This includes financial reporting, taxation, asset management, budgeting and providing expert advice across a diverse and complex organisation.
You will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of CQUniversity's financial and asset management operations. Your primary focus will be coordinating the University's Asset Management System, preparing financial reports, supporting statutory reporting obligations, and assisting with taxation compliance requirements including BAS and Fringe Benefits Tax returns.
We are looking for a detail-focused and proactive accounting professional with strong analytical capability and experience working within complex finance environments. You will confidently manage competing priorities, reconcile data, interpret accounting standards, and build strong working relationships across the University.

Position Requirements
* Demonstrated knowledge of asset accounting principles, financial policies, and relevant Australian Accounting Standards.
* Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and experience using large corporate finance or asset management systems.
* A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and prepare accurate reports, recommendations and documentation.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy, continuous improvement, and practical solutions.
* Membership of a recognised Australian professional accounting body. (Desirable)
