Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior mechanical engineer to contribute to enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability across mine sites. The role involves delivering engineering solutions for our mining clients across multiple commodities, working within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment. You will prepare and supervise the preparation of mechanical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, schedules, quantity, and cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver practical and cost-effective engineering solutions in operational environments.
* Maintain high standards of quality, client expectations, and relevant Australian standards and codes.
* Collaborate with other disciplines (structural, electrical, process, piping, civil, etc.) to ensure integrated design solutions.
* Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
* Contribute to project planning, cost estimation, and scheduling for mechanical scopes of work.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (RPEQ or CPEng highly regarded).
* 6+ years of experience, ideally working within a similar consulting or project management environment, working on projects within the mining and resources sector.
* Demonstrated experience in sustaining capital, brownfield, or plant upgrade projects.
* Broad commodity exposure (iron ore, coal, base metals, lithium, gold, etc.) is advantageous.
