The Role
We are searching for a Senior Associate to join this highly successful team. You will be working with 2 highly respected Partners across a wide spectrum of clients. This includes early-stage businesses, leading international private equity firms and venture capital. The work includes advising on structural changes, strategic corporate transactions, commercial issues, advising on every stage of a private equity transaction cycle, including fund formation, sponsor team equity and carry arrangements to acquisitions, and portfolio company exits.
You will be part of a close knit team, working alongside other Senior Associates and Special Counsel and mentoring junior lawyers. You will join a busy practice and have the opportunity to work on a range of corporate transactions and learn from well-regarded partners to deliver high quality work for our clients. You might already be a Senior Associate or ready to take the step up.
Qualifications
5-9 years post qualification experience in corporate and commercial law, specialising in M&A transactions
A strong academic background
Qualified to practice as a solicitor in NSW or other Australian jurisdiction - holding (or entitled to hold) current practising certificate
Strong technical and drafting skills across a range of corporate transactions
The ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships and lead client engagements independently
Experience training and mentoring junior lawyers
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise competing deadlines
The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
