Senior Occupational Therapist - Gladstone QLD
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in Gladstone, QLD. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced occupational therapist to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people and their families.
About the Role
This role involves providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support young people with complex needs, including autism, behavioral challenges, physical impairments, and more. You will work closely with children, families, stakeholders, and other team members to achieve outstanding outcomes.
* Servicing and supervising new graduate occupational therapists and allied health assistants
* Overseeing the supervision of at least one student occupational therapist per year
* Representing the occupational therapy perspective at stakeholder and management meetings
In addition to your clinical expertise, you will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to supervise and mentor junior clinicians. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are also essential due to limited public transport in Gladstone.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
* Current AHPRA registration
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an occupational therapist, ideally with a focus on paediatrics
* Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor junior clinicians
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
