About the Role
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer - Indirect to join our supply chain team in Smithfield. This is a 12mth Fixed Term Contract where your role is pivotal to ensuring the smooth operation of indirect purchasing across Vinidex. If you're experienced in SAP and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is a great opportunity to work locally while making a meaningful impact.
What You Will Do in the Role
- Create and maintain vendor profiles in SAP for indirect spend categories
- Convert purchase requisitions into accurate purchase orders
- Update supplier acknowledgements and delivery schedules
- Resolve supplier issues including invoice variances, returns, and quality concerns
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure efficient procurement processes
About You
- Proven experience using SAP in a purchasing or procurement role (essential)
- Strong analytical skills and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in a supply chain or operations environment preferred
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Able to work independently, manage change, and prioritise effectively
- Customer-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement
