The primary focus of this role will be to oversee operations and will involve day-to-day decision making, delegation of tasks and enforcing of safety rules, policies and procedures.
Your day to day
* Communicating and coordinating with fleet of agitator drivers.
* Ordering raw material stock of cement, sand, aggregates, additive chemicals, etc.
* Facilitate safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes, and incident reporting.
* General supervision of yard housekeeping, maintenanceand plant operations as required.
* Communicating with internal and external stakeholders(customers, dispatching team, management, etc.)
* Manage and oversee costs and raising of purchase orders.
What are we looking for?
* Experience in managing/supervising teams in the concrete industry.
* Strong computer and system skills with experience with batching preferred.
* Flexibility and willingness to cover several responsibilities across the plant as required.
* FEL licence and forklift licence will be highly regarded.
* Commitment to a culture of safety and zero harm.
