The role Applications are invited for the position of Specialist in General Medicine (Fractional) at Alfred Health. The successful applicant(s) will provide general medical care for community consumers cared for by Alfred Mental and Addiction Health who are experiencing significant mental health and addiction challenges that impact on access to medical treatment. There may, in addition, be a requirement to contribute to all aspects of General Medicine clinical service. Qualifications and Skills Required Our preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes: * Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice * Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians * Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in General Medicine * Experience in addiction medicine is favoured * Meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in General Medicine * Outstanding communication skills, including well-developed conflict resolution skills * Ability to liaise well with other staff at all levels * Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with others/ other teams.
