A government organisation in Wollongong is seeking an HR Advisor to support their team with key administrative HR functions. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on supporting day-to-day HR activities. You'll be the first point of contact for HR enquiries and play a vital role in maintaining smooth HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and manage the HR inbox
* Respond to employee enquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Conduct criminal history checks and ensure compliance with relevant protocols
* Provide general HR administrative support
* Apply knowledge of awards and employment conditions where relevant
About You / Requirements
* Previous experience in a HR Advisor or HR Coordinator role
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Experience in government or public sector environments (preferred)
* Familiarity with award interpretation and compliance
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
