Beyond Speech is seeking a passionate and experienced Music Therapist to join our team in Healesville, VIC. This part‑time role (3 days per week) is an exciting opportunity to utilise your music therapy expertise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.
As our key team collaboration activities—including professional development, learning, wellness initiatives, and culture‑building sessions—take place on Fridays, availability to work on Fridays is essential for this role .
We're looking for an articulate and enthusiastic qualified professional, registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association, who is eager to contribute to, promote, and grow our Music Therapy program while creating meaningful outcomes for the clients and families we support.
What You'll Be Doing
* Developing and implementing individualised music therapy programmes to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of our clients
* Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care
* Maintaining detailed client records and contributing to the overall evaluation of client progress
* Participating in regular team meetings and professional development activities
* Promoting the benefits of music therapy within the local community
* Growing our Music Therapy programme
What We're Looking For
* A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Music Therapy
* Registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association
* Demonstrated experience in the delivery of music therapy services to diverse client populations, particularly those with NDIS funding, in schools and aged care facilities
* Minimum of 1-2 years of music therapy experience required
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and the broader healthcare team
* Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Someone who can think outside the box and drive the growth of our Music Therapy programme
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for the transformative power of music
* Working with Children Check and Police Check required
