* Full time, 35 hours per week
* Multiple vacancies - Temporary up to June 2028
* Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour.
* Professional Officer Grade 1/4 – Salary from $75,728 up to $145,442 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience, as outlined in the Crown Employees (Department of Regional NSW) Professional Officers Award and the Professional Officer Progression Criteria (1-4)

About the Role
There are four positions available as Project Officer Climate Vulnerability Assessment. The Project Officer Climate Vulnerability Assessment roles will range from analyses large datasets to applied spatial modelling to understand how climate change affects agricultural and environmental systems. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts—including economists and engagement specialists—to develop robust vulnerability assessments and adaptation strategies to directly inform critical decision-making across government and industry.

About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:

* Degree in Science, Agricultural Science, or a related discipline.
* Advanced skills in research modelling, GIS, and data analysis programming.
* Experience interpreting complex biophysical datasets for diverse audiences.
* Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and industry.
* Current NSW Driver License and a willingness to travel for project work.
