The Role
We are currently seeking Permanent Part-time and Casual Youth Workers who are:
Available to work a variety of weekday and sleep-over shifts, including on the weekends
Able to work in Manly and across the Northern Sydney region
This is an onsite position.
As a Youth Worker in our Out of Home Care (OOHC) team, you will support young people living in our residential homes using a therapeutic, person-centred approach.
You'll engage in daily living activities, build trusting relationships, and help young people develop essential life skills – all while working as part of a supportive, values-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with young people to build independent living skills
Support young people with daily routines such as cooking and cleaning
Organise and participate in activities that promote growth and wellbeing
Collaborate with case managers and other professionals to support the young person's care plan
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Qualifications & Requirements
Flexibility to work across various locations in Manly and the Northern Sydney region
Certificate III or higher in Youth Work, Community Services or related field
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Out of Home Care or Foster Care settings
Experience working with young people impacted by trauma
Strong de-escalation skills and understanding of therapeutic care approaches – TCI training would be an advantage
Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
