Since under new family management three years ago (2021) experienced in multiple metalwork production methods. We thrive on efficiency within our manufacturing facility & a family environment, plus extensive experience in R&D metal works design & engineering to create product solutions that address each customers specific requirements. We offer the latest CNC Fibre Tube & Sheet Laser, CNC Press Brake Folding, Laser, Mig & Tig Welding machinery, In-House Powder Coating Facility, Custom Roll Forming Machinery that manufactures goods that only we supply here nationally monthly. Added to our fantastic manufacturing facility, we also offer a Factory to Site custom metal works service by owning x2 on the road service trucks with crew, that only cater for this service, making us more flexible for our customers' needs for offsite factory works. All Premises & Assets are owned by the family group itself allowing growth for future technology injections, allowing the new role for the right candidate applying a strong back bone in manufacturing support to move AB Industries Australia forward.
The Role:
The role involves leading and driving a forward motivation to obtain new customers & stabilise existing customers in factory to site metalwork projects. The role is diverse with responsibilities across large and small customers. We are looking for an experienced as well as hands on professional who wants to become excited as part of our AB family. Ultimately the role is accountable for delivering the required revenue and margins needed to grow the business.
Tasks & responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies/relationships.
* Lead and mentor factory to site team members to achieve metalwork projects.
* Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
* Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
* Develop and maintain the sales & workforce pipeline.
* Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements.
* Work close with the Managing Director, Production Manager & Administration Managers.
About you:
In this diverse role, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced sales manager who has the industry knowledge and experience to lead our operations team to new heights, by building lasting relationships that lead to the continued growth. Ideally, you will have had at least 5 years leading a manufacturing team in sheet metal or industrial metalwork projects. You will be an organised and methodical leader, able to inspire both staff and customers alike.
Qualifications & experience:
* A calm considered and professional manner.
* Proven work experience as an operations/senior supervisor manager in the metal industry or related engineering industry.
* Experience managing relations in an efficient-performance production, sales & administration team.
* An ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics.
* Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
* Analytical skills with a problem‐solving attitude.
* Effective communication and team management skills.
* Knowledge of Basic Computer software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Tertiary qualifications in a related metal engineering trade.
* Availability to travel as needed (Rare but may be required for future growth).
