Join us as a Locum Mental Health Nurse and play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care across all divisions of mental health nursing, including community, inpatient, intake/triage, and more. We are seeking dedicated nurses for 4-12 week contracts in regional, coastal and remote locations across Australia. In these rewarding roles, you'll work in regional settings, providing critical care to communities in need whilst exploring fantastic locations

As a Locum Mental Health Nurse with cmr, you'll experience a range of meaningful roles across Australia's mental health care landscape. From community outreach to acute interventions, you'll provide critical support and care in:
* Acute Care Mental Health: Work in fast-paced acute care settings, managing urgent mental health crises, stabilising patients, and coordinating with emergency services. Use your crisis intervention skills to make a rapid impact during high-pressure situations.
* Inpatient Units: Deliver consistent, supportive care to individuals requiring more intensive mental health support. You'll manage daily assessments, administer medication, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help stabilise and rehabilitate patients on their path to recovery.
* Community Mental Health: Be a key resource for patients outside the hospital environment, offering case management, comprehensive assessments, and care planning. Your work in community settings allows you to build deeper connections, empower clients, and support them through their recovery journey.
Each role allows you to make a difference while expanding your skills, from crisis intervention and comprehensive assessments to individualised care plans and community outreach.
Criteria:
To excel as a Travel Mental Health Nurse, you should have:
* Qualifications: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.
* Experience: Ideally a minimum of 3 years in mental health nursing
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with patients and team members.
* Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Transportation: A valid driver's license for community based regional and remote roles.
* Flexibility: Willingness to commit to travel nursing contracts in regional/remote areas for 4 - 12 weeks at a time.

Role Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and patient education
* Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
* Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and participate in ongoing evaluation of patient progress
* Support patients and their families with empathy and clear communication throughout their treatment journey
What We're Looking For:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
* Minimum 4 years of oncology nursing experience in Australia or New Zealand
* Competency in chemotherapy administration and oncology symptom management
* Must have full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
* Sunrise EMR training preferred for placements in SA - can be arranged prior to placement
* Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with patients and colleagues
* Strong ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
* Valid driver's license preferred for regional and remote community-based settings
* Willingness to take on travel nursing contracts in regional/remote locations for 4-12 weeks
