The Facilities team is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our environment, ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency.
About the Role
Join us during an exciting period as we undertake projects like refurbishing our Branch Network. The Trainee Facilities Officer role is based at our Head Office in East Maitland, with regular travel to branches. You will handle repairs and maintenance requests and assist with scheduling preventative and ad hoc maintenance across all sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the coordination of security systems such as CCTV.
Perform general building maintenance and upkeep.
Maintain company fleet vehicles and assets.
Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety standards and protocols.
Manage stock and inventory across sites.
Act as the primary liaison for contractors, including onboarding and ongoing management.
Contribute to emergency planning, providing advice and training across all sites.
About You
If you are a problem solver, willing to support various sites, open to administrative tasks, possess a current driver's license (essential), and enjoy teamwork, then this role is for you!
This opportunity is suitable for those with some experience in building and maintenance systems, physical security (alarms and CCTV), and basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
You will be provided with a laptop, mobile phone, and all necessary training.
This is a hands-on, dynamic, full-time role requiring quick thinking and task prioritization.
Full-time traineeship working 38 hours per week.
Opportunity to participate in an on-call roster after probation, with an on-call allowance.
Earn a Cert III in Work Health and Safety while gaining practical, on-the-job experience.
