Mental Health Nurses for Nursing Homes – Regional or Rural Australia
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk and needs evaluations.
* Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized care plans for patients.
* Administer and monitor psychiatric medications, observing and documenting effects and side effects.
* Deliver therapeutic interventions such as counseling, behavioral management, and psychoeducation.
* Monitor and evaluate patients' mental state, behavior, and progress throughout treatment.
* Manage psychiatric emergencies and employ de‑escalation or crisis intervention techniques when needed.
Requirements
* Minimum of two (2) years of Registered Nurse experience in a mental health nursing setting from one of the following countries: New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Canada, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, or Singapore.
* At least three (3) years of total Registered Nursing experience overall.
* Experience in a nursing home is a must.
* Applicants must be under 40 years old.
* Registered with AHPRA or eligible for registration.
