Role Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Cisco Infrastructure, Cisco Prime, Cylance, and Dell Server infrastructure. This role involves a variety of helpdesk duties, including setting up and troubleshooting various devices and providing technical support to staff and students. Key Responsibilities: Network Management: Manage and configure Cisco network infrastructure. Utilize Cisco Prime for network management and monitoring. Implement and monitor Cylance for endpoint protection and network security. Server Management: Set up, configure, and maintain Dell server hardware. Ensure server infrastructure is secure, reliable, and optimized for performance. Helpdesk Support: Deploy and configure staff laptops using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) images. Assist students with the setup and configuration of their personal devices (BYOD). Set up and maintain school-owned devices, including laptops, printers, copiers, and projectors. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently. Responsibilities Undertake systems design, program design and specification and direct programming changes necessary to enhance, modify or maintain a computer system. Evaluate and report on the operational efficiency of computer systems in production, making recommendations for improvement where appropriate. Examine and report on the efficiency and effectiveness of hardware configurations, software operating systems, data transmission networks and generalised software packages. Develop and conduct training programs for computer systems users. Modify and adapt accepted methods and guidelines and interpret and analyse complex data across several sub-disciplines. Develop techniques and procedures that will affect work practices beyond the work place. Manage a technical program with a broad scope across the school.
