The primary purpose of the Safety Coordinator's role is to coordinate safety and training practices, procedures, and policies in order to create a safe environment that aligns with the company values.
Responsibilities
* Providing technical advice and support on the Safety Management System application across all departments.
* Development and implementation of Health and Safety Systems in compliance with legal and company requirements [RA(-A1].
* Developing and implementing site hygiene monitoring and fitness for work programs.
* Managing workers compensation and rehabilitation processes.
* Assisting in the development and implementation of the site Emergency Response and Crisis Management Plans.
* Maintaining systems to manage the appropriate monitoring of employee exposure to industrial hazards.
* Providing all employees with adequate skills and knowledge regarding safe systems of work, policies and procedures to enable them to carry out their work in a safe environment.
Qualifications
* Possess a thorough understanding of NSW statutory obligations relevant to Workplace Health and Safety.
* Hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety at a minimum.
* Hold a certificate in Rehabilitation Coordination and previous experience with Workers Compensation cases.

* Demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.
