Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer / Developer to join our 'Data & AI' team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions. Working closely with clients and cross-functional teams, you will understand customer needs and create scalable, effective, and responsible AI solutions, including Agentic AI technologies. The role primarily involves project work but may include product development and technical pre-sales. This position is part of DXC's 'Data & AI' business in Australia.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, design AI solutions aligned with business goals, and support the implementation and customer guidance. DXC partners with leading technology providers such as Microsoft, AWS, Google, NVIDIA, Databricks, and others, and utilizes open-source components in many solutions.
This role can be based in Sydney, Canberra, or Melbourne, with a preference for Sydney.
Your Skills And Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
* Proven experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions, including LLMs, LangGraph, MCP, A2A, & Retrieval Augmented Generation.
* Experience in AI evaluation and improvement techniques.
* Knowledge of machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
* Strong programming skills (5+ years), especially in Python, and experience with developer tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or Amazon Q Developer.
* Understanding of AI Governance at an operational level.
* Experience with AI & Data platforms from providers such as Microsoft, AWS, Google, or Databricks, with deep expertise in at least one.
* Experience working on systems modernization or migration projects.
* Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
