Electrical Trades Specialist
The role of an Electrical Trades Specialist involves delivering high-quality work plans to supervisors and trade team members.
This includes engaging with other departments to ensure critical tasks are incorporated into maintenance plans, supporting reliable and safe plant operations, and providing technical support for activities involving electrical/instrumentation/process control/maintenance.
* Review and prioritize jobs logged in the CMMS system
* Inspect job sites to ensure appropriate resources are identified and made available
* Prepare designs and specifications according to AS3000 requirements
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, RCFA, and ALCM programs
* Identify opportunities for improvement in electrical and process control systems
* Ensure safe work procedures are followed and reviewed to eliminate/controls workplace health and safety risks
* Master data ownership and workflow management responsibilities
* Adhere to planning and scheduling procedures and processes as per site standards
Requirements:
* Trade qualifications in electrical, instrumentation, and control or a relevant university degree
* Previous planning experience preferred or extensive experience in an industrial environment
* Nsw qualified supervisor certificate for electrical wiring work (desired)
* Strong background in plant electrical, instrument, and control systems in heavy industry
* Proficiency in calibration, installation, commissioning, and fault finding of instrumentation
* Familiarity with a wide range of pressure, level, temperature, flow, and analytical instrumentation
* Experience with distributed control, PLC systems, and industrial instrumentation
* Working knowledge of AS3000 requirements
* Sound understanding of reliability centered maintenance
* Knowledge of AC and DC motor control systems
* High-level communication skills both written and verbal
