Crop Smart is a distributor of high‐quality agricultural chemicals and adjuvants, operating its own formulation plant and a network of 17 stores across Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales. We stock a wide range of high‐quality farm‐related products, including crop protection, fertiliser and seed. Our mission is to make a difference in farming communities.
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager – Manufacturing to join our Supply Chain team, reporting to the GM – Supply Chain. This full‐time, permanent role focuses on partnering with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maximise procurement spend, aligned with our strategic goals.
Location: Laverton North, VIC

Salary: Negotiable based on prior experience
Key Responsibilities
* Strong experience in developing and executing procurement strategies
* Substantive experience in the agricultural and/or chemical markets
* Strong relationship with agricultural and/or industry suppliers and manufacturers
* Strong customer focus and ability to build rapport
* Strong negotiator to deliver favourable supply and commercial terms
* Proven ability to manage internal departmental & supplier partnerships
* Initiative to identify and implement improvements and cost savings
* Ensuring supplier gross margins and security of supply meet company objectives
* Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety
* Effectively communicate, drive and deliver key strategies at all levels of the organisation
* Business and analytical acumen with high level attention to detail
About You
* Proven experience within the Agricultural &/or chemical markets
* Strong relationships with Agricultural &/or chemical industry suppliers
* Demonstrated negotiation skills and commercial acumen
* Proactive approach with the ability to identify and implement improvements
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a commitment to safety
This role is initially office‐based to support onboarding, training, and integration with the team. Hybrid working arrangements may be considered after the probation period, subject to role and responsibility requirements.
