Benelec Pty Ltd is currently seeking a highly motivated and reliable Support Technician to join our installation and maintenance team on a full time, permanent basis at our specialised facility in Botany (NSW).
This position will suit a person with RF/Electronics background and mechanical aptitude, hands-on, versatile, self-organizer who is keen to learn and contribute to rewarding team work on challenging projects in radio electronics and telecommunications, in both, field and office environments.
Dutieswill include:
- In-house pre-installation configuring and wiring rack-mounted equipment
- Testing, installing and commissioning RF base stations using digital equipment
- Installing & commissioning radio kits in vehicles and vessels
- Installing & commissioning base stations (including antennas and conditioning gear)
- Programming radios, repeaters and other ancillary equipment
- Configuring and troubleshooting IP networks/links as part of RF system maintenance
- Participate in the 24/7 on-call availability per Help Desk roster for remote and on-site response and support.
- Travel interstate as required to carry out installation, commissioning and maintenance activities
- Data entry for repair equipment into the Benelec repair portal.
- Complete Installation, Maintenance and repair reports.
- Assist with coordination of activities.
Previous experience in RF installation work is desirable. Working at heights, mechanical or electronics manufacturing experience would be a significant advantage but not essential as on the job training will be provided. Rotational availability being part of the Emergency Response Team and availability to travel interstate away from home, from time to time is required.
**Australian citizenship is an** **essential per-requisite** as AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance is required for the position.
