What you'll be doing
As a Child and Family Health Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in supporting children's development and wellbeing by delivering health and developmental screening in early childhood settings. You'll work with families, carers, and educators to provide advice, reports, and support while fostering collaborative care.
- Conduct health and development screening and assessments for preschool children.
- Provide advice, feedback, and education to families, carers and educators.
- Deliver direct clinical services and coordinate care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Support capacity building for health and education staff to enhance service delivery
- Identify and respond to the needs of vulnerable children and families with a focus on equity and access.

Essential Criteria:
- Registration: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
Selection Criteria:
1. Postgraduate qualification in the role of a child and family health nurse or currently completing a tertiary course in child and family health nursing, and evidence of post registration experience working with families and young children including those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, using screening tools such as Learn the Signs Act Early, Ages and Stages Questionnaire or similar.
2. Demonstrated extensive experience working as a Child and Family Health Nurse (or equivalent in paediatric nursing).
3. Demonstrated experience working with families and young children; including those with vulnerabilities and complex needs and form diverse backgrounds.
4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
5. Demonstrated evidence of working within a Multidisciplinary team to facilitate the care planning for families with complex needs.
6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice, and an awareness of changes within the health care environment.
7. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology systems within a variety of applications and a commitment to undertaking training in electronic health record systems.
8. Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
