Project Manager - Renewable Energy Development
This is a senior role in renewable energy development, requiring experience in large-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the National Electricity Market, grid connection processes, and National Electricity Rules.
* Lead project development from feasibility to construction handover.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and assess new project origination opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
Project Development
* Manage project life cycle, including budgeting, timelines, risks, and reporting.
* Coordinate internal teams and external consultants.
Site Origination and Strategic Planning
* Undertake field-based feasibility assessments.
* Provide advice on development risks and mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement and Approvals
* Build relationships with landowners, community members, regulators, and councils.
* Attend community information sessions and council meetings.
Commercial Analysis
* Support due diligence processes for project acquisitions.
About You
* Minimum 3 years' experience in renewable energy development.
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, environmental science, urban planning, or a related field preferred.
* Familiarity with the National Electricity Market and grid connection processes.
* Demonstrated experience managing development approvals and stakeholder engagement.
Location & Travel
* This position requires regular regional and interstate travel.
* Based in Melbourne or Queensland.
