This is a hands on Senior Bookkeeper role working with clients day to day with supervision of a small team.
Responsibilities
Clients
* Focus within the small to medium enterprise (SME) space
* Lead client relationships as a senior advisor whilst supervising a small bookkeeping team
* Responsible for the transactional processing, reconciliations, timely reporting and information of multiple external SME clients
People
* Contribute to an enjoyable working environment
* Lead a small SME bookkeeping team to work cohesively, prioritise work, hit deadlines and produce timely, accurate and valuable data for our clients
* Actively participate as a team member to contribute to the success of the team

Technical Excellence
* Payroll Processing and Legislative Knowledge
* Bank reconciliations
* Credit card reconciliations
* Accounts Payable processing including bill entry, review of GL coding
* Payment preparation/processing
* Accounts Receivable processing including creation of invoices, debtor management
* Management of the integrity and accuracy of client financial reports - P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
* Ability to research and interpret accounting principles, apply to client situations and problem solve autonomously
Financial
* Adhere to KPIs around productivity, invoicing, and billable time
Practice Development
* Gain referrals through existing client relationships
Innovation
* Make continuous improvements to accounting systems and processes
* Look for new software/tech to assist with providing clients with great advice
Core Capabilities AND Core Traits & Behaviours
* Experience using accounting systems (e.g. Xero) & Microsoft (e.g. Excel)
* Supervision experience

Experience
3 years experience in a Senior Bookkeeping role.
Payroll experience is key, as is handling client payments and management reporting.
