This role is not for everyone. If you need daily hand-holding, prefer a slow pace, or struggle when priorities shift mid-morning — that's okay, but this isn't your role.
If you thrive in motion, love ticking things off, and take pride in keeping chaos at bay — keep reading.
WHO WE ARE
Precision Flooring is a small, tight-knit team delivering high-end timber flooring projects across Sydney's luxury residential, hospitality, and commercial sectors. Our clients include architects, interior designers, and premium builders — people who expect excellence and notice every detail.
We're not a big company and we don't want to be. What we are is passionate, driven, and deeply proud of our craft. The work is challenging, the standard is high, and when a project comes together — it's genuinely beautiful. If that excites you, you'll fit right in.
THE ROLE
You'll be the connective tissue of our project delivery. Supporting two Project Managers, you'll juggle multiple projects simultaneously — coordinating trades, managing timelines, keeping clients informed, and making sure materials land on site when they're supposed to.
There's no script for every day. You'll need to think on your feet, solve problems before they escalte, and communicate clearly under pressure. In return, you'll have genuine ownership of your work and a team that has your back.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Coordinate trades across multiple projects — scheduling, sequencing, and keeping everyone accountable to the timeline
* Own client communication — proactive updates, clear answers, no one chasing us for information
* Manage procurement and deliveries — materials ordered, tracked, and on site when needed
* Keep projects on track — time, budget, and quality; flag risks early and act fast when things shift
* Assist with project close-out — working alongside our financial controller on final reconciliation and handover docs
* Build real relationships — with clients, contractors, suppliers, and our internal team
* Work across our platforms — Salesforce, GroundPlan, Slack, and Google Workspace keep us connected; you'll own your piece of it
ABOUT YOU
You're the kind of person who arrives already thinking two steps ahead. Deadlines don't stress you out — missed ones do. You communicate like a professional and adapt like an athlete.
You'll bring:
* The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities without losing the thread
* Sharp, clear communication — with trades on site and with high-end clients in the same day
* Experience in project scheduling and cost tracking in a trade, construction, or services environment
* Confidence dealing with site supervisors, subcontractors, architects, and senior stakeholders
* A solutions-first mentality — you identify problems AND bring options to the table
* High personal standards, genuine drive, and the energy to keep pace in a fast-moving business
* Flexibility — things change, plans shift, and you adapt without drama
Bonus points:
* Background in construction, fitout, flooring, or related trade services
* Experience with Salesforce or GroundPlan
* An appreciation for design, craft, and premium finishes
This role will not suit you if you prefer predictable days, resist shifting priorities, or need close supervision to stay on track. We move fast, hold high standards, and expect everyone on the team to bring their best — every day.
WHAT WE OFFER
* Above-market salary — we pay well because we expect a lot
* One WFH day per week for balance, once you're up and running
* Real career growth — we're a small team that backs the people in it
* No corporate politics — just a straight-talking, high-performing culture
* Surry Hills location, walking distance from Central Station
* The satisfaction of working on projects that are actually worth being proud of
