About the role
Howe Automotive Engine Centre is seeking a talented and experienced Qualified Mechanic/Fourth Year Apprentice to join our team in Daylesford, VIC. This full-time role will see you applying your expertise to the repair and maintenance of a wide range of vehicles, playing a vital part in ensuring our customers' vehicles are running smoothly and safely.
What you'll be doing
IMMEDIATE START
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults in vehicles
* Carrying out scheduled services and maintenance tasks
* Performing general mechanical work, including engine repairs, brake servicing, and suspension work
* Providing high-quality customer service and advice
* Maintaining accurate records and job documentation
* Supporting the wider workshop team as needed
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics (e.g. Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology)
* Extensive experience as a qualified mechanic, ideally 3+ years
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
* Good communication skills and customer service orientation
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* A current driver's licence
* Australian citizenship required for this position
