Mottech Parkland is a leading national provider of sophisticated irrigation control systems, environmental monitoring equipment, testing products and irrigation-related services. In Australia, Mottech Parkland is the sole authorised distributor of Motorola IRRInet hardware and the associated ICC PRO software - a comprehensive centralised irrigation, water control and resource management system for Agricultural, Municipal Turf & Landscape, and Water Distribution applications.
Customers include councils, water authorities, farmers, viticulture, growers, sports grounds, landscapers, schools, universities, regional irrigation dealers and golf clubs throughout Australia.
Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has become available for a service technician/technical sales support officer to join our growing team. Bring your technical aptitude, attention-to-detail and good interpersonal skills and we will provide full training in our systems.
The Job
The role, based in Melbourne, will involve technical service and support for both new and existing clients in the region, involving both in-field and remote support. The job will primarily focus on supporting our Council clients in the greater Melbourne area but will also include travel to support clients and projects throughout Victoria and interstate as required.
Responsibilities:
* Installing and programming IRRInet control systems
* Servicing, proactively maintaining and repairing control systems
* System upgrades – both software and hardware
* System auditing and report preparation
* Supporting our sales staff by identifying prospects and providing technical backup
* Accurate recording of time and materials used on projects
* Some travel will be required and is an integral part of the job
The Person
Attributes:
* A demonstrated track record with the Motorola IRRInet system
* An irrigation service background with at least 3 years experience
* The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people
* A commitment to meeting the needs of our customers
* Drive and energy
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills
* A self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
