Job Description
Responsible for the continuous running of telecom/ICT equipment by carrying out and implementing operation and maintenance programs, CAPEX/OPEX expansion projects, and sustenance programs primarily for the transport network. This includes, but is not limited to, microwave/IP radios, fiber optic network, power line carrier/protection signaling equipment, remote fiber terminal units, substation clocks endpoints, SSU, Telecom auxiliary equipment, Datacom equipment, and Network visibility tools in regional centers, field offices, substations, and power plants in North Luzon.
- Providing Level 1 support for the day-to-day operation and maintenance activities of NGCP's telecommunications network by delivering and restoring services in a timely and accurate manner;
- Developing a continual service improvement plan to ensure overall efficiency of the telecom network; and
- Implementing operation and maintenance activities of Telecom/ICT infrastructure and services, and supporting key technical projects to ensure timely completion within budget.
Requirements
- BS Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Engineering
- Preferably a Licensed Engineer
- Three (3) years of working experience in the field of telecom operation and maintenance
- With 24 hours completion of relevant telecom training; cadetship or traineeship
- Proficient in Fiber Optic splicing/Testing particularly OTDR
- Knowledgeable in Microwave, IP, VHF radio testing and commissioning
- Knowledgeable in GPS and Sync clocking
- Adaptable to change in a field known for continuous developing technology
- Capable of working well under pressure within a team
- Possessing effective organizational skills
