As the Lead Sprinkler Technician, working in close collaboration with the Operations Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing the wet fire division, championing its growth, and delivering high-quality outcomes across testing, maintenance, minor works, and project delivery. 
Operational Oversight - Manage and execute wet fire system testing, maintenance, minor works, and project scopes—ensuring consistent operational excellence across all service types. 
Standards Compliance - Oversee adherence to AS 1851 testing and maintenance protocols and AS 2118.1 for the design and installation of wet-pipe sprinkler systems. Maintain regulatory compliance and high technical standards. 
Estimation & Resource Planning - Accurately estimate labour, materials, and time for maintenance jobs, minor works, and projects to support effective quoting, scheduling, and workload management. 
Technical Execution - Oversee, and where required perform, fault identification, repairs, system commissioning, and commissioning of wet fire systems, including wet-pipe, pre-action, and special hazard systems. 
Client Relations & Communication - Ensure strong stakeholder and customer engagement through professional communication, proactive problem resolution, and building trust in service delivery. 
Workload & Scheduling Management - Plan and organise, ensuring tasks are effectively completed and service quality and timelines are met. 
Documentation & Reporting - Ensure service reports, inspection records, and documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with standards and internal systems. 
Professionalism & Mobility - Maintain a professional appearance and conduct across all client interactions. Hold a valid driver's licence for site transportation and team coordination. 
About you 
The Lead Sprinkler Technician is pivotal in scaling the Wet Division's operations and capabilities. Your oversight ensures regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and client confidence—embedding reliability, safety, and growth into every engagement. 
Demonstrated experience with wet fire system servicing and installation (wet-pipe, pre-action valves, special hazard setups). 
Knowledge of AS 1851 and AS 2118.1 compliance requirements. 
Proven estimation skills: ability to quantify labour, materials, and time for precise job costing. 
Strong organisation and communication skills. 
Self-motivated with meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing a division with minimal supervision. 
Certificate III in Fire Protection — Demonstrating formal expertise in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. 
Hold a valid driver's licence.

Straight to double pay for time worked beyond 8 hours 
On-call allowance and 4hrs at double hourly rate as a minimum 
$2,000 bonus post 6 months probation 
Annual development and Remuneration reviews. This is not typical in the Perth contractor market.
