These exciting roles offer you the opportunity to utilise your experience in an acute mental health service.
Our acute inpatient Mental Health Units provide specialist, compassionate, multidisciplinary recovery oriented mental health care that is delivered in a supportive educational environment. We are seeking registered nurses and enrolled nurses with a minimum of 12 months experience in mental health to join our team to contribute to the provision of excellent, compassionate specialist mental health services. We offer training and support to develop your skills and experience in the specialist nursing field, including: mental health units, TMS and ECT.
Key responsibilities will include:
o Provision of compassionate, recovery oriented mental health care to patients, including support for families and carers
o Patient assessment and management of all clinical issues relating to the patient's condition and treatment plan
o Liaison with all referring specialists and clinicians involved in the patient's care
You will be a strong, committed mental health nurse, who is passionate about facilitating the very best outcomes for your patients and their families from admission to discharge in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment.
For you to be successful in this role you will bring the following:
o Current AHPRA registration
o Contemporary knowledge of best practice in acute or mental health nursing
o Strong communication, you have a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with patients and their families.
o Relevant recent experience in the provision of acute Mental Health care
o A thorough understanding of the principles of recovery-oriented care, mental state assessment, care planning and specialist care delivery.
