Chosen Family is seeking passionate and experienced LGBTQIA+ Disability Support Workers to join our dynamic team in NSW. This is a casual role, providing flexible work arrangements to support our diverse client base.
What You'll Be Doing
* Providing personalized care and support to LGBTQIA+ clients with a range of disabilities
* Assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagement
* Advocating for the rights and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilities
* Collaborating with allied health professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans
* Fostering a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for our clients
* Participating in regular training and professional development opportunities
What We're Looking For
* Demonstrated experience in providing disability support services, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ inclusion and affirmation
* Strong understanding of the unique challenges and barriers faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
* Passion for advocating for the rights and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilities
* Relevant qualifications in disability support, community services, or a related field
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

* Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* First Aid Certificate
* Valid Drivers License
* Reliable Vehicle
* LGBTQIA+ awareness
