Chosen Family is seeking passionate and experienced LGBTQIA+ Disability Support Workers to join our dynamic team in NSW. This is a casual role, providing flexible work arrangements to support our diverse client base.
What You'll Be Doing
Providing personalized care and support to LGBTQIA+ clients with a range of disabilitiesAssisting with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagementAdvocating for the rights and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilitiesCollaborating with allied health professionals to develop and implement tailored support plansFostering a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for our clientsParticipating in regular training and professional development opportunities
What We're Looking For
Demonstrated experience in providing disability support services, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ inclusion and affirmationStrong understanding of the unique challenges and barriers faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clientsPassion for advocating for the rights and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilitiesRelevant qualifications in disability support, community services, or a related fieldWillingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
