About the opportunity
Join Gold Coast Private Hospital as a Food Services Assistant! We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team on a part-time basis (approximately 25 hours per week). If you pride yourself on your work, have a friendly and positive attitude, experience in food services within healthcare or hospitality, and enjoy providing excellent customer service, this role is for you.
We have 4 vacancies:
* 3 x Food Services Assistants
* 1 x Store Person (preferably with hotel experience)
These roles require availability to work on a 7-day rotating roster, including AM and PM shifts:
* AM shift – 5:45 am – 2:30 pm
* PM shifts – 2:30 pm – 9:00 pm and 4:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Responsibilities of a Food Services Assistant include:
* Providing exceptional customer and patient service by preparing and serving food, setting up, plating, and distributing food and beverages, and participating in food safety processes
* Assisting in cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils, including dishwashing
* Promoting a positive team culture through communication and collaboration
* Handling equipment such as food trolleys and carrying food trays
Responsibilities of a Store Person include:
* Managing inventory and stock levels to meet hospital demands
* Ensuring proper stock rotation to prevent spoilage
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe storage area
* Cleaning coolroom floors and pot washing
* Providing excellent service to hospital staff and resolving inventory queries
Minimum requirements
* Legal right to work in Australia
* Healthcare or hospitality experience (preferred)
* Working with Children Check (if relevant)
* Commitment to service excellence
* Strong time management and prioritization skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Keen attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Availability for on-call shifts
