About the Role
Eureka Villages is seeking a dedicated daytime Chef to join our team in Rockhampton on a full-time basis. In this role, you will prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for residents, ensuring dietary needs are met while maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipe standards.
* Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, food preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
* Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring proper training, teamwork, and efficient workflow.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth service and a positive resident experience.
About You
* Proven culinary experience, with expertise in preparing a variety of dishes and working in fast-paced kitchen environments.
* Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen equipment management, supported by a tertiary Chef qualification.
* A passion for food, with creativity and attention to detail in menu planning, food presentation, and flavour combinations.
* Ability to satisfy pre-employment checks, including a National Police History Check.
