About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer, Graduate or intern to join the talented team at Stella Marine Group. This full-time position is based in our Coomera, Queensland office and will play a vital role in the design and development of state-of-the-art marine equipment.
What you'll be doing
* Designing and drafting detailed 2D and 3D CAD models of marine equipment and components
* Performing structural analysis to ensure performance and efficiency
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
* Ensuring all designs and projects comply with relevant regulations and industry standards
* Supporting the production and manufacturing process by providing technical expertise and guidance
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of design processes and documentation
What we're looking for
* A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related engineering discipline
* Proven experience in 2D and 3D CAD design, utilising software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks
* Strong technical skills in structural analysis
* Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and attention to detail
* Effective communication and collaboration skills to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
