Director, Office of the Chief Medical OfficerCoordinate and deliver responsive, time critical, expert advice and high-level policy advice and strategic support to the Chief Medical Officer, Deputy Director-General, the Director-General and the Minister.Lead consultation, negotiation and work in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver on key clinical priorities for the Branch.Lead policy advice to support the Chief Medical Officer, Deputy Director-General, Director General and Minister in matters relating to clinical services across the Branch and Division, including the preparation and drafting of complex briefings, reports and cabinet submissions to present recommendations and findings to senior leaders to influence clinical service outcomes.Manage and oversee the Branch's response to a range of identified complex clinical issues and provide advice on solutionsManage multiple priorities and build the capability and capacity of the team over time to ensure the delivery of high-quality advice to stakeholders.Manage and provide an appropriate response to change initiatives through the provision of strategic advice to affected stakeholders and service delivery function leaders.Coordinate and deliver reporting on the progress of critical work programs and activities within the Branch.Lead and undertake relevant divisional projects, initiatives and events, as required by the Chief Medical Officer.About youHighly developed communication, influencing, policy analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to negotiate and assert yourself while developing productive and positive partnerships.Demonstrated high-level experience in policy coordination and provision of policy adviceHigh-level written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate with influence to ensure policy advice, including complex policy documents such as submissions and complex briefings and reports reflect a division-wide position, taking into account the Queensland Health and government strategic agenda.Demonstrated ability to liaise, collaborate and negotiate with relevant areas within the Division, including senior executives, to draft, develop and complete the provision of policy advice, including complex documents such as briefing notes, reports and submissions, taking into account the expectations and requirements of the Deputy Director-General, Director-General and Minister.Demonstrated leadership at a senior level, with the ability to successfully lead a team, set direction, motivate and inspire staff, promoting an environment where staff are valued, developed and coached to perform at their full potential.Why work with us?
