Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to play a vital role in identifying and supporting shipping and logistics solutions that grow and sustain cargo volumes through our ports and associated services.
This involves assisting with the development of cargo quotes and tenders, identifying and implementing storage and shipping solutions for clients, and managing invoicing for storage services. The role requires developing solutions for bulk and break bulk cargo including grain, cement, car carriers, and other non-containerised materials.
Candidates will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify end-to-end supply chain solutions that improve efficiency, add value for clients, and support our strategic growth. A strong understanding of port operations and the broader logistics and supply chain environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and implement supply chain solutions that enhance cargo flows through our ports;
* Work with Finance Department to ensure accurate Cargo and Shipping budgeting forecasting and management of cargo pricing and storage;
* Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that port facilities, berth availability, and stevedoring capabilities align with customer cargo handling needs;
* Develop supply chain value propositions and business cases to attract and retain cargo through our ports;
* Build and maintain relationships with cargo owners, service providers, and industry stakeholders;
* Monitor and analyse industry trends, regulations, and technologies to ensure service offerings remain competitive and compliant;
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and supply chain partners, including shipping agents, transport operators, and logistics providers; and
* Conduct supply chain analysis to uncover opportunities for efficiency or growth and recommend integrated solutions.
