* Total Remuneration Package from $239,483 p.a. (including super), negotiable based on experience

This is a rare opportunity to lead one of NSW's most critical regulatory functions. As Director, Specialist Harm Prevention, you'll drive innovative, data-informed compliance programs that reduce workplace harm and improve safety outcomes for millions of workers across the state.
You'll lead a team of technical experts—engineers, occupational hygienists, infrastructure specialists, and chemical safety professionals—who rely on your strategic direction to deliver high-impact harm prevention initiatives.
What You'll Do
* Shape and lead specialist compliance programs that combine regulatory rigour with practical, risk-based interventions.
* Collaborate with industry leaders, co-regulators, and government partners to design and deliver initiatives that drive real behavioural change.
* Provide expert advice to senior executives and ministers on emerging risks and critical safety matters.
* Champion innovation in regulatory practice, leveraging data and intelligence to target high-risk sectors and emerging hazards.
* Build and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
* Proven strategic leadership in regulatory or compliance environments, ideally with a focus on harm prevention or public safety.
* Deep understanding of risk management frameworks and data-driven decision-making.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across government, industry, and community sectors.
* Experience leading complex programs and teams in high-stakes environments.
* A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate and respond to emerging workplace risks.
