The Role
The Consultant – Economic Policy & Analytics is responsible for providing consultancy services to clients, project managing internal workflows and supporting team members in business development initiatives and major project delivery. Day-to-day tasks include:
* Working alongside our team of Analysts and Consultants to analyse materials, and draft and edit reports.
* Researching and reviewing materials to deliver evidence-based solutions that directly address our clients' problems and objectives.
* Clearly communicating project outcomes, presenting results and advice in a clear and engaging way.
* Developing proposals that demonstrate a clear understanding of the client's needs and the scope of work and assisting with business growth and development.

We are seeking candidates with:
* Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Engineering, or related disciplines with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Well-developed project management skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate internally and engage with clients in a professional manner
* Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience preparing a range of documents and reports
* The ability to present information or data in a visually appealing way using Microsoft Office or other tools
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex information, think critically and develop strategic arguments
* Strong initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
It is desired that candidates may also have:
* Relevant experience in economic analysis and consulting (at least 2 years)
* Prior consulting experience with stakeholder engagement
