Senior Environment Protection Officer - Regulatory Excellence in Action
As a Senior Environment Protection Officer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our environment and communities from pollution and waste. Your expertise will drive regulatory actions to prevent harm through education, engagement, compliance monitoring, inspections, and enforcement.

Key responsibilities include:
* Regulatory Actions: Develop and implement plans to prevent harm from pollution and waste through education, engagement, compliance monitoring, inspections, and enforcement.
* Investigations and Projects: Participate in investigations under the Environmental Crime Branch and deliver preventative projects and compliance programs aligned with EPA's regulatory priorities.
* Team Support and Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to team members, contribute to analysis and resolution of compliance issues, and provide local intelligence to inform project development.
Requirements:
* Relevant Regulatory Experience: A proven track record in a relevant regulatory role, applying government legislation, regulations, reporting directives, and procedures to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Authorised Officer Training: Successful completion of Authorised Officer training (on-the-job) or completion within a reasonable timeframe from commencement.
* Driver's Licence: Possession of a current Victorian driver's licence to ensure ability to attend required locations.
* Tertiary Qualification: A relevant tertiary degree or qualification is desirable but not essential.
