About the Position
As a Residential Youth Worker, you will have the unique opportunity to work with some of the strongest and most wonderful young individuals who have experienced trauma and neglect in out-of-home care under the Guardianship of the Chief Executive, Department for Child Protection (DCP). Your role will be pivotal in creating a positive impact by teaching practical and social skills, acting as a role model, and preparing them for adulthood. About You
We are searching for a highly passionate and genuine individual who:
* Holds a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Community Services, or equivalent (or working towards)
* Has a minimum of 6 months experience in Residential Youth Services
* Has demonstrated experience in supporting extreme challenging behaviours
* Holds an Australian Drivers Licence (SA), P2 or higher
* Possesses a Working With Children Check
* Can provide availability to work across AM/PM/Active night shifts
* Has or is willing to obtain the following certifications:
* Child Safe Environments (Through Their Eyes) Certificate
* Child Car Restraints Certificate
* Safe Infant Training Certificate
* Current suitable Psychological Assessment, or willing to obtain
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
