About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on HR Business Partner to support our field operations and warehouse workforce of 2,000+ casual employees. You’ll work closely with leaders to provide expert HR advice, drive talent strategies, and deliver people initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
The role is fast-paced, dynamic, diverse and future-focused. You will bring a strong understanding of the complexities of managing a large, dispersed casual workforce and play a key role in shaping a high-performance, engaged culture.
You will be required to:
- Partner and embed yourself within your stakeholder groups to develop and implement strategic people initiatives
- Be a trusted advisor for managers and leaders by developing a deep understanding of ways of working, challenges and opportunities
- Manage complex ER / IR matters including grievances, investigations, performance management and terminations ensuring compliance, risk mitigation with empathy and fairness.
- Drive talent initiatives – from succession planning to career pathways & leadership coaching.
- Provide thought leadership by taking initiative on complex problem solving and providing ideas, recommendations, frameworks and structured planning
- Promote a high-performance culture through smart HR policies & practices.
- Use data & insights to inform strategic HR decisions.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ proven HR experience with a qualification with an FMCG and/or retail background is highly desirable
- Sound understanding and current knowledge of employment law and Awards
- Experience in an organisation with a large casual workforce is essential
- A skilled influencer with excellent communication & stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven, solutions-focused, and proactive in approach.
- Strong emotional intelligence, resilient and curious
- Highly organised, results-driven, and passionate about people.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment across multiple stakeholder groups
