Key Responsibilities
The Design Project Manager - Healthcare will provide design capability in support of healthcare and medical fitout projects, assisting with test fits, space planning, and design documentation. As a complementary function, the role will assist project delivery activities under the supervision of senior team members, contributing to coordination, execution support, and quality assurance throughout project lifecycles.
Design Support
* Assist with development of design concepts, test fits, planning layouts, and fitout documentation.
* Prepare clear visual and technical deliverables for internal design reviews and client presentations.
* Maintain and update design files, drawings, and project records.
Project Delivery Support
* Support project managers in coordinating contractors, consultants, and internal teams during delivery phases.
* Assist with scheduling, progress tracking, and basic project controls.
* Contribute to compliance checks against healthcare standards, accessibility, and safety requirements.
* Participate in project meetings and workshops to support planning, execution, and reporting.
* Assist with documentation for approvals, client updates, and handover processes.
* Work collaboratively with senior members of the team to achieve defined project outcomes.
Skills & Experience
* 2–5 years' experience in interior design, architectural coordination, or a related field.
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar design tools; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
* Strong organisation, attention to detail, and communication skills.
* Ability to work constructively within a team-oriented delivery environment.
* Exposure to healthcare or medical fitout projects.
* Foundational understanding of project management processes and construction documentation.
* Awareness of accessibility, safety, and healthcare design requirements.
