The Historic Nannup Hotel, located in the South West region of Western Australia, is seeking a qualified and experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our venue, comprising bar, restaurant, and accommodation facilities.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the efficient management of all hotel functions, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, maintaining service excellence, and optimising the profitability and reputation of the business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Plan and control the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including bar, restaurant, accommodation, and events.
* Oversee financial management activities such as cash reconciliation, banking and stock control to ensure profitability.
* Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including the Liquor Control Act and TAB requirements.
* Manage staff recruitment, training, supervision, and rostering
* Monitor guest satisfaction and ensure high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and customer service throughout the premises.
* Liaise with suppliers and coordinate procurement and inventory control for food, beverage, and general supplies.
* Plan and coordinate promotional activities, events, and local partnerships to enhance business performance and community engagement.
* Ensure workplace health and safety standards are maintained across all areas of operation.
* Prepare and present operational reports to the business owners, including performance analysis and recommendations for improvement.
Skills and Experience Required
* Minimum one year of relevant experience in hotel or hospitality management
* Proven ability to manage both operational and administrative aspects of a hospitality venue.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Financial management and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
* Demonstrated knowledge of hospitality regulations and compliance obligations.
Qualifications and Certificates
* Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
* Approved Manager's Certificate (Liquor Licensing WA).
* TAB Compliance Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Hotel or Hospitality Management is preferred
Position Conditions
* Full-time, 38 hours per week, with additional hours as required during peak periods and special events.
* Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation. The position is ongoing and based in Nannup, Western Australia.
