The Role
As a HSE Advisor, you will join our dynamic team to support the implementation of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategies.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within an industry-leading company maintaining compliance across a multitude of projects throughout Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Candidates must have a minimum of 2+ years of HSE experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits to ensure compliance with the Work Health and Safety Management System and relevant legislation.
* Promote a strong safety culture, engaging with workers and leadership to improve HSE awareness.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of WHS procedures.
* Maintain accurate safety records, including site checklists, hazard reports, and safety observations.
* Support accident investigations and monitor completion of corrective and preventative action plans.
* Deliver training at inductions, toolbox talks and safety meetings.
* Participate in incident investigations.
* Contribute to tender submissions by assisting with HSEQ-related prequalification documentation.
What You'll Bring
* Certificate IV Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
* Proficiency in safety reporting systems, risk analysis tools, and compliance tracking.
* High attention to detail and ability to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies.
* Experience conducting audits and risk assessments.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
* Previous experience in the electrical or civil construction industry (desirable).
* Knowledge of applicable statutory provisions across multiple jurisdictions, FSC & ISO45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and Risk Management ISO 31000 (desirable).
* ICAM Incident Investigation or similar (desirable).
Essential Qualifications
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) or equivalent.
* Valid driver's licence.
* Construction White / Blue Card.
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Valid Australian work rights are required for this position.
